Experience

  1. Senior Data / Software Engineer
@ LiGHT | AI for Global Health & Humanitarian Response

    2025 — Present

I am a Senior Data & Software Engineer at LiGHT, based at EPFL in Lausanne. I work with an international team to build AI solutions addressing global health challenges. My role includes contributing to Meditron, our open-data medical LLM; maintaining mmore, SwissAI’s multimodal document-processing and RAG library; coordinating the LiGHT bootcamp, a MOOC about AI for healthcare to make medical doctors and computer scientists in Africa work together; and supporting the overall technical operations of our 20+ member team, including direct supervision of about ten students.

  2. Internship "Analysis and Visualization of data from a flight simulator"
    @ BeEmotion.ai

    Summer 2024

"The primary objective of the project is to develop a data processing and analysis pipeline aiming to understand the behavior of pilots during their training flights in a simulator. Additionally, the project will include creation of a web application with an interactive user interface (UI) allowing users to visualize results of the training in the form of plots and videos. Activities assigned to the student include writing Python scripts for data analysis and developing a web application in HTML/CSS with a comprehensive dashboard."

  3. Chocopresident
    @ Chocopoly

    2023 — 2025

I served for a year and a half as one of the two co-presidents of Chocopoly, the hot chocolate association of EPFL.
The main activity of Chocopoly consists of preparing hot chocolate at events organized by other associations on campus. There are on average 50+ events per year in which Chocopoly is present, 1,902 liters of hot chocolate have been served during my terms, which amounts to 9,500+ servings (EPFL has about 14,000 students).
My role was to manage the association (the team, the logistics, seek for EPFL's recognition), and coordinate with the other associations on campus when organizing events.
We ended up getting EPFL's official recognition by joining the AGEPoly (general association of students of EPFL) in November 2024, thanks to my dedication and that of my then co-president Laura Paraboschi. This allows the association to organize its own events and get logistical help provided to recognized associations.
